Corporate Information

TED Systems, LLC. was co-founded by Herb Farnsworth and Ted McGrade. The name TED originated from Edward "TED" McGrade, the original owner of TED Manufacturing. Mr. McGrade started TED Manufacturing in 1956. TED is also the name of Edward McGrade's son, Ted M. McGrade, the current owner of TED Manufacturing. TED Systems LLC is a separate and distinct legal entity incorporated in December of 1999. Herb and Ted are co-owners of TED Systems with Herb acting as the General Manager. In order to understand our background, strengths, and plans, the following information is presented.

TED Manufacturing Corporation

TED Manufacturing (established in 1956) has a more than 40 year history of the manufacturing of R/F and microwave coaxial cable connectors. We have expertise in engineering, machining, plating, testing, and assembly. Our primary market emphasis is in the avionics industry. We provide components to industry leaders such as Allied Signal, Honeywell, Lear, AirSys, etc. Our design assistance to these industry leaders gives us a good background in radio frequency and microwave applications. In addition, we also provide multi-pin connectors and cable assemblies.

TED Systems, L.L.C.

Ted Systems is a separate company that moves beyond component manufacturing. Technologies include data, voice, and video. Applications include security, fire alarm, and communications systems. Our market emphasis is the construction of new facilities and the remodeling of existing facilities. Our services include sales, code compliance, engineering, installation, and service.

HEPACart Inc.

In 2003, while fulfilling a contract at Children's Mercy Hospital, TED Systems found the need for a ceiling access, infection control, HEPA filtered cart. Such a cart is necessary to work in the ceiling while simultaneously maintaining the clean environment of a hospital. After a thorough search, the best solution was to just build a cart. Thus, the HEPACart was born. A TED Systems affiliate but totally separate entity, HEPACart Inc. has sold infection control carts to contractors working in St. Luke's hospital as well as Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
